Why Brazil, why now

Brazil’s Federal Law 14.790/2023 and the SECAP licensing framework that followed produced the largest new regulated iGaming market in the Western hemisphere. By Q1 2026, roughly 100 operator licences are expected to be live (out of ~150 applications), making this SBC Summit Rio the first edition where the licensing question is settled and competitive questions take precedence.

Programme tracks

Confirmed tracks for 2026 include: Payments and PIX integration, Affordability and responsible gambling under SECAP rules, Tax compliance (IRRF withholding at source), Sports betting integration (Brasileirão sponsorship rules), Esports and crash games, Affiliate marketing post-regulation.

The payment track is the one with the most live-trade interest — operator cashier teams swap notes on PIX latency, KYC threshold thresholds, and which BaaS providers (banking-as-a-service) actually keep up with PIX SLA expectations.

Who shows up

  • Major Brazilian licensees: bet365 Brasil, Betano (Kaizen Gaming), Sportingbet (Entain), Caesars, BetMGM, ESPN BET
  • Operator groups with strong Brazil interest: Stake (separate offshore), Pin-Up Group, Brazino777
  • Suppliers: Pragmatic Play (single largest exhibitor in 2025), Evolution, Hacksaw, Spribe (Aviator)
  • Regulators: SECAP/Ministério da Fazenda speakers on enforcement priorities
  • Brazilian affiliate networks and content producers

Access and cost

Free expo pass on pre-registration. Conference pass for the speaker programme runs from approximately R$2,500 (early bird) to R$4,500 (door price). VIP networking events are invite-only.

VegasHunter coverage angle

We follow SBC Rio to confirm three things: which operators are positioning aggressively for Q2 2026 acquisition cycles, which new payment integrations launch (PIX Recorrente, Boleto+ instant variants), and where SECAP enforcement priorities sit for the year.

Why this matters

Brazil is the most important new iGaming market of the decade. The 2026 edition is the first SBC Rio where most attending operators hold actual SECAP licences rather than transitional permits — the conversation shifts from 'can we operate?' to 'how do we compete?'
